Contacts and Compacts/Summer Vacation Tips!

Tonight I am going to be at the Contacts and Compacts women's networking meeting. It is a great way to meet other women in business and to learn something new from the special guest speaker. I will have all of my products available to sample and sell. Click here for all of the details.
On another note... summer is officially here and the kiddos are home! Looking for some neat things to do?
  • Check your local craft store for free or low-cost crafting days during the week. Some even offer classes that are specifically for kids and very reasonable.
  • Join your local children's museum. Check to see if they participate with other museums around the country. Take your membership card with you on vacation and visit other museums in network for free. Click these links to discover what museums honor Association of Science Technology Centers -www.astc.org/Passport (over 200 participants) and American Children's Museums -http://www.childrensmuseums.org/ (over 100 participants)
  • Loews, Regal, and AMC theaters usually have a free or low-cost movie in the mornings during the summer. Loews also offers a discount on their "kid packs"- drink, popcorn, and a snack.

Hope this helps you to have a great time home with your kids this summer without breaking the bank!

Strawberry Festival

A special thank you to everyone that came out to support us at this weekend's festival. The show was great, the music greater, and the homemade strawberry shortcake greatest! Mmmm, cant wait until next year...

Rain, rain, go away. Come again some other day!

We have had rain everyday this week! I need this rain to go away. We have 3 major show days this weekend and it needs to be beautiful out.
On a brighter note, the flowers I planted are happy!

Busy Weekend

What a crazy weekend! On Friday my son and I were at the PQ Farmers Market in the pouring rain. Thanks to all who came out and braved the weather!
We spent the entire rest of the weekend at the Armonk Fol de Rol- beautiful weather and location. We were next to the loud "Sham-WOW!" guy. I think I have his sales pitch down and can do it in my sleep if I had too!
This week is hectic as well. We will be in North Salem again this Friday from 3-5 for the farmers market hopefully sans rain. And this weekend is... The Monroe Strawberry Festival!!! Can't wait!
A Country Farmer in North Salem is looking into having our line in their store. You can get fresh produce, flowers, and (hopefully soon!) fresh soap at her shop. How nice!
If you live around the finger lakes region in NY - Four Chimney's Winery in Himrod, NY will have a nice selection in their barn store. Check out their WONDERFUL organic wine selection at http://www.fourchimneysorganicwines.com/index.html
And last but not least, we are still at Morningstar Bookstore in Danbury, CT. Check out their website at http://morningstarbookstore.com/danbury.htm Kelley and Tony are wonderful and can help you pick out the perfect gift for upcoming weddings, showers, or yourself! Tell them that we sent you and they will take good care of you.
Speaking of gifts, we sold 2 of our custom spa sets to someone this weekend as a wedding gift. We made one in our Mary of Bethany scent and one in Trees of the Field. They looked so nice and the bags are great to reuse to put a bottle of wine (from Four Chimney's, maybe? :) ) or sandles and a book for a beach day, or whatever your heart may fancy. I thought that was a really nice and unique wedding gift.
Well, off to make more soaps for this weekend...
Blessings,
Adrianne
